What to Expect
Fire Camp is a week-long, immersive experience that introduces youth ages 10–14 to real firefighting and emergency response. Supervised by certified Gaston Fire & Rescue volunteers, campers train alongside active firefighters at our station and training facilities.
This isn’t a classroom — it’s hands-on. Campers deploy hose lines, climb ladders, perform rope rescue, and build life-saving skills they’ll carry forever. By the end of the week, they walk away with real certifications and real confidence.
